Ichinoseki City is currently running an ILC exhibit to increase awareness and enthusiasm among city citizens about realizing the project in the Kitakami mountains of Iwate. The exhibit, within Aeon Ichinoseki, is the first time for the city to run an exhibit in a place of commerce.

Along with the city-produced ILC diorama, there are around 80 posters on display from the 6 Ichinoseki elementary schools that submitted posters to the ILC poster contest run last year by Iwate Prefecture’s Southern Regional Development Bureau. There are also 11 flags produced by Okutama Elementary School students as their graduation project, and other ILC-related panels.

Kazunori Oikawa of the Ichinoseki City ILC Promotion Division said, “It’s an exhibit in a place of commerce, so I hope that many people can easily come to see it and learn about the ILC.”

The exhibit lasts until May 31. Open weekdays 10 am – 9 pm, and on weekends/holidays/May 20/May 30 from 9 am – 9 pm.
