Michinoku Associates Group donates to the Iwate ILC Promotion Council

The Michinoku Associates Group (led by Keishi Miki, honorary chairman of Toyo Seikan Group Holdings) donated 200,000 yen (≒ 2,000 USD) to the Iwate Prefecture ILC Promotion Council (chair: Kunihisa Yamura) on November 11th.

The Michinoku Associates Group is a group of 135 companies that do business with the Michinoku Coca Cola Bottling company(Yahaba Town, president: Hirokazu Yamura). At a ceremony in a hotel in Morioka, Chair Yamura was presented with the donation by Yasuhiko Kadokawa, head of the northern Japan sales department at Toyo Seikan Group. He said, “The ILC will be a tremendous chance for the businesses of Tohoku.” Chair Yamura said, “The ILC is so close we can almost touch it. We will go forward with our full strength.”

Prof. Masakazu Yoshioka of Tohoku University, Iwate University, and Iwate Prefectural University gave a seminar entitled, “Developing the region and fostering innovation using the ILC.”
