The Aiichi Rikuun Company, which transports parts used at Toyota automobile factories by truck, will use a truck with ads promoting the International Linear Collider. The ILC truck was unveiled on February 2nd in Aichi prefecture.

Aiichi Rikuun started decorating a truck since April last year to promote Iwate’s recovery from the 2011 disaster, attaching large photos of coastal scenery and world heritage sites Hiraizumi and Hashino Iron Mining and Smelting Site. The trucks run from within Aichi prefecture to the Toyota Motor East Japan factory in Kanegasaki Town.

Up until now, the back and lower left side of the truck were decorated for the National Sports Festival and National Sports Festival for People with Disabilities. Since this year’s festivals held in Iwate have ended, these areas were replaced with ILC ads. The funding for changing the decoration was provided by the Iwate ILC Promotion Council (Chairman Kunihisa Yamura).

Aiichi Rikuun also has decorated another truck with promotions of Kanegasaki Town’s asparagus and agricultural products from within the JA Iwate Furusato manages, which runs between Tokyo and Shizuoka Prefecture.
