With the next European particle physics strategy, Europe looks to collaborate with Japan and the ILC

The 2020 Update of the European Strategy for Particle Physics was released on June 19th. Regarding the placement of the ILC project, the update states that it is compatible with the European strategy, and that they hope to collaborate should the ILC be realized in Japan in a timely manner.

The European strategy reflects the high expectations of the European community in the Japanese government, which is currently deliberating whether or not to host the ILC.
